Hot news: Bangkok's International Festival of Dance & Music

Head to Thailand this September and celebrate international performance at the 12th anniversary of this spectacular festival in Bangkok.

If you’re jetting off to Thailand next month, don’t miss Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music. Taking place from 11 September to 24 October, it’s a cultural extravaganza featuring around 1,000 performers from around the world.

This year’s celebrations mark the festival’s 12th year, and the occasion is expected to draw over 3,000 visitors from overseas. Performances will include the opera La Bohème; ballets such as La Bayadère, Cinderella and Swan Lake; and Latin dances including Salsa, Tango and Flamenco. There’ll also be a jazz concert, contemporary dance and classical music from philharmonic orchestras.

The festival will take place at Thailand Cultural Centre, and there’ll be a free shuttle bus running from the station of the same name to the venue between 5.30 and 7pm on performance dates.
