Has Strictly Come Dancing spurred your passion for dance? Head to Latin America to learn the Argentine tango and samba from the professionals.

As the sultry, dramatic music kicks in, hold your partner close, resting your head on his shoulder and taking a few slow walks across the floor. Slide your leg out to the side, your body sinking lower, and learn the high kicks and sensual nature of this sexually-charged Latin dance. Where better to learn the Argentine tango than Buenos Aires, its city of origin?

This private eight-night tour starts with a stay at Sofitel Buenos Aires and the chance to explore buzzing San Telmo Flea Market in the old part of town, its cobbled streets alive with street performers, including couples dancing the tango.

 

 

Over the next few days you’ll have two private tango lessons and watch two inspirational tango shows in the city, feeling the chemistry between the professional dancers illuminating the stage. You’ll also have the chance to learn about Argentinean wine with a tasting session and find out about the history of the tango while you’re in the city.

Then it’s off to Brazil and a flight into the heart of Rio de Janeiro to learn the fun, rhythmic samba. You’ll stay at the Santa Teresa Hotel in a district known for its colonial architecture and views across Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf Mountain. You can have fun in the local bars and clubs, and will explore with a guide, visiting Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado, home to the Christ the Redeemer statue which has been voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Shake your hips and learn the party dance during two private samba lessons, and later practise your moves alongside locals at the famous Rio Scenarium, in the historic Lapa District. If you love to dance and explore exciting destinations, this tour will be an incredible experience.
